Tracy T. Trovato, Founder

I left the agency downtown when I thought my family needed more of me, but I couldn’t quite shake marketing. From planning the kids’ birthday parties to spearheading PTA events at their school, it always turned into a grass roots implementation of an unwritten marketing strategy. I love the creative process of putting together a marketing strategy and the pragmatic challenge of keeping it budget-friendly.

I’m not a public relations consultant, but I understand what makes a good story. While I was busy not being a public relations consultant a few years ago, I pitched an idea to the Chicago Tribune and a few weeks later, this happened. Seeing the story run in multiple McClatchy papers across the country was pretty exciting, but nothing compared to when Secretary Sylvia Burwell, Department of Health & Human Services, read the story and invited me to sit on the dais for her farewell presentation at the National Press Club in January 2017.

People ask me what types of companies I work with and I still don’t really know how to respond. I tend to work best with entrepreneurs and creative types – I think my personality responds to their high-energy and passion for what they do. Does that rule out corporate clients? Of course not. If a potential client is willing to admit they know what they don’t know and they trust me to fill in some blanks, then I’m up for the partnership.

What do I do when I'm not on the clock? When it’s time to recharge, I'm usually found in my kitchen.  And if I’m not there, I’m probably in the living room watching a Netflix series on food or chefs or traveling chefs searching for food. The best times of my life have been traveling with my family across the United States as we try to check a few more National Parks off our very ambitious 'must visit' list. Although it’s far from a ‘hobby’ (it’s a lot of work), I’ve been an ACA advocate since 2016, trying to heighten awareness of the ACA’s positive impact on employer-sponsored insurance (and ultimately, the negative impact if the ACA is repealed).

Packages

I love a full-scale marketing and public relations campaign as much as the next consultant. But that isn't always feasible for a client. Once we identify your goals, I recommend not-to-exceed project budgets and prioritize activities.

A la carte services

Know what you need, but don't have the time or skill set to do it? Let's talk!  Project budgets based on $150/hour rate.

On-site consultation and follow up

Need some brainstorming, strategic direction or help with messaging? Schedule a consultation with follow up summary and let your talented in-house team do the work!  Consultation packages starting at $450.

Senior-level resource / mentor

In between marketing managers? Need to fill a spot while your in-house support takes family / maternity leave for a few weeks? Looking to complement your in-house marketing coordinator with a periodic senior-level mentor? Weekly and monthly rates available for on-site assistance.
